Ahead of the governorship election in Osun state, some Christians are seeking the intervention of God for the next governor of the state, Premium Times reports.
Legit.ng gathered that in furtherance of the cause, an interdenominational prayer session was held at the Government Technical College field in Osogbo.
A part of the written prayer read: “O Ruler of Nations, open the door for the right person to be the next governor of Osun State and close the door against any enemy of peoples’ welfare and peace in the name of Jesus.”

They also prayed to God to raise a governor that would preserve every good thing done by the current governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and correct every error that might have been made by him.
Prayers were also made for Nigeria on its security challenges, which has led to the killings of thousands across the country.
Bishop Mike Bamidele convener, who led the prayers, also prayed for Nigerian youth.

In a previous report by Legit.ng, the governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, expressed the conviction that his administration has performed excellently to the benefit of the people of Osun, stressing that he has fulfill the essence of development in governance.
According to Aregbesola, the entire people of the state are directly enjoying and benefiting from his projects, policies and programmes, saying that his administration has lived up to the expectation of the majority of people in the state.
